What video/lighting equipment do you use?
We use state of the art high definition 3CCD and CMOS digital video cameras to ensure vibrant colors and crystal clarity. We utilize professional Bogen-Manftrotto tripods with fluid heads as well as the Glidecam 2000 Pro (click here for a demonstration of this awesome tool). Sufficient lighting is very important, especially when shooting in high definition. We have on camera lights, but only use them when absolutely necessary. This is rarely an issue due to the cameras' excellent low light capabilities.
Will we be able hear our vows outdoors
or in a big church?
Audio is a very important part of your wedding and is therefore a crucial element of your wedding video. In addition to on-camera microphones, we use a combination of UHF wireless microphones and digital audio recorders to capture the best possible audio of your big day.
Who will shoot/edit my video?
Jared Lee serves as the lead videographer and editor for every wedding. In cases where additional videographers are needed, a select team of trained professionals is called upon. These individuals have the same skillset and work ethic that clients of Spotlight Digital Creations have come to love and appreciate.
How will you interact with the photographer?
We think it's very important that we speak to the photographer(s), coordinator, and DJ at the beginning of the day to work out a plan that will ensure a smooth evening with great photographs and VIDEO.
How many cameras do I need?
Ceremonies are shot with a minimum of 2 cameras. This allows a secondary video source should one camera be in motion or blocked. Additional cameras allow for a different perspective to be captured and allow for more artistically-styled shots. Some venues do not permit much movement. In these instances, having several cameras set up around the venue would ensure that all angles are covered. Multiple cameras may also be necessary if two important events are taking place at the same time.
Are you unobstrusive?
This day is about you and we try hard not to draw attention to ourselves. We will often shoot from a distance so guests won't even know we're there.
What is High Definition?
High Definition is anything greater than 480 lines of resolution. We use cameras capable of 1080 lines of resolution. The picture is sharp and colors are amazingly stunning! We can author a Blu-ray disc which, when played back on an HDTV, produces an image that is simply breathtaking.
When will we receive our wedding video?
Your finished video should be ready approximately 4-6 weeks once we receive all materials (music, photos, etc.) Videos with special editing requests may require additional time. We know you'll be anxious to see your BIG day on the BIG screen, and we don't believe in keeping you waiting any longer than you have to. In most cases, the editing process will begin a couple hours after your wedding!
